The reaction, according to the majority and to what the article is insinuating, seems to fall in line with the belief that those targeted by the governors voting rights for nonviolent felons are those of the african american race. The issue with this belief is that this idea aligns with the oppositional ideal that the uneducated are synonymous with a specific race. Perhaps the largest issue that has arisen is the backwards racism exhibited by the general reaction. Personally, I believe that those targeted would be the under-educated in general, and would like to abstain from extrapolating an entire race. With all of this said, the ethical implications of such an order would help in the fact that the greater majority would have voting rights, fulfilling our set national goal; but there is a negative side that grants citizens a reward for what can be seen as ignorance; creating a less educated voting populace overall.

What does "success" mean to you?
Im not really sure because it depends on if you define your own success or if being successful is when other people decide that you are a success. I would like to say that i decide if something i do is successful or not, but there is still a nagging part of me that doesnt feel something is successful if no one else thinks it is. I guess success is something that you gain something out of, so if you are looking to be a well known artist of if you just want to just make one person happy with your art then they are both legit.

“Forgiving does not erase the bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into a hope for our future.”
Lewis B. Smedes
Interpret the above quote in your own way and reflect on its meaning to you. Do you believe that forgiving gives you a new way to remember? Is this always the case or are their exceptions? What exceptions?

Just because you forgive something from the past does not make it really a clean slate, you cant just forget what happened. When you forgive someone you are just deciding that you are not going to hold what happened over their head or linger on it. I guess what smedes is trying to say is that when you forgive someone something must of happened to make you view the situation differently, maybe you have more understanding into why they did it which would make you change your interpretation of what happened. This is not always the place , but an example is that zits fathers leaves, which at first the reader just thinks is a lack of caring, but on further inspection he left because he didn't want to continue the pattern his father had created

Why do you think that so many tribes and civilizations have died out over recent years? Do you think that we aren’t doing enough (as in carrying on traditions) to save cultures that make up the world? (think of Native American tribes too)
Sometimes there is nothing that we can do, the real problem is something that a majority of us have no chance to fix. I have a friends who was asked at a young age to train to be the chief of his tribe, he chose to not and instead wanted to be a "normal kid". He was the only person eligible to fill that role, but now that hes older its too late to say yes. I feel like this is the problem... this generations youth is not willing to give up a modern life to keep up the old traditions. It's a lot easier to sit at a distance and say that its sad that the old is lost, than for someone to give up their entire life for the cause. Another example of this was a documentary where only three members of an aboriginal tribe remained , each possessing a different skill passed down over hundreds of years only to members of that tribe. All three of these men have children to pass their skills on to , but not one of them have chosen to fill their dying fathers roles. When theses men die , so do their stories, history, and art forms.
